Healthy Chocolate Spread in 10 minutes / 十分鐘完成 – 健康朱古力醬

This is my very first post on Steemit. Instead of an introduction about myself, I decided to write a recipe of a simple healthy chocolate spread as I just made it for my Sunday afternoon snack. If you check out the chocolate spread in grocery stores, the ingredients usually include lot of sugar, palm oil and emulsifier. You can also see a bunch of addictive with no names but an alphabet plus number like the night bus or airport bus number in Hong Kong (if you know what I'm talking about). Now, the only chocolate spread I eat is the one I am going to share with you.

這是我第一篇Steemit文,雖然想寫自我介紹,但剛剛做了我很喜歡又健康簡單的朱古力醬,所以打鐵趁熱,就先寫這個朱古力醬食譜。坊間買到的朱古力醬都加很多砂糖、棕櫚油和乳化劑,甚至一大堆沒有名字、只有像香港機場或通宵巴士號碼的代號添加劑,所以現在我只吃自己做的朱古力醬。

Ingredients are simple:

1. one ripe banana
The sweetness of the spread only comes from the banana. The riper it is, the sweeter it gets. The banana also gives the spread its creamy texture. Size also matters. Adjust the amount to your own liking.

2. 100ml of milk
I used full cream milk. My philosophy is eating natural, non-processed food so I do eat high calories but 100% natural food like butter and avocado. For those calories-conscious, feel free to go for skim, non-fat or soy milk.

3. 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
Alkalized cocoa powder is said to melt better but this Rapunzel organic non-alkaline cocoa powder I bought through iherb is also good for baking and drinking. This less processed one of course is my first choice when it comes to cocoa powder. You can check it out here.

簡單成分如下:

1. 熟透香蕉一隻
這個醬的糖份和濃稠的質感只來自香蕉,越熟越黑的香蕉越甜。當然香蕉的大小也有影響,可隨喜好加減份量。

2. 100ml 全脂奶
我的飲食態度是選用天然不加工食材,所以像牛油和牛油果等高脂但天然的食物我都會吃。怕高卡路里的人可用低脂、脫脂或豆奶。

3. 2湯匙無糖可可粉
鹼化可可粉通常較易溶化,但這款我經iherb 買的Rapunzel有機可可粉沒有經過鹼化工序,但也適合用作烘培和朱古力飲料,所以是我廚房的必備之物。如有興趣可按此查看

Method/方法:

Slice the banana
將香蕉切片

Heat up milk slowly on low heat
用小火慢慢將牛奶加熱

Melt cocoa powder in milk
將可可粉溶於牛奶

Add banana slices and mash them with a spatula
加入香蕉片,用鏟壓碎

Continue to heat on low, stir and mash for about 5 minutes or until it becomes thick. You can tell it's thick enough when you can see the bottom of the pan as you stir it.
繼續慢火加熱、攪拌、壓碎5分鐘或直至濃稠。當攪拌至可見鍋底就完成。
