Pine & Crane - Wonderful Taiwanese Restaurant! 쫄깃한 타이완 누들이 맛있는 곳

Los Angeles is a haven for trying the international food for various countries. I went to the Taiwanese restaurant known as <PINE & CRANE>. It is located in ‘Silver lake’ Village which is also known as a hip and trendy location to go on dates, and to eat fine foods.

LA 에는 다양한 인종이 모여사는 만큼 다양한 나라의 음식들이 많습니다. 이번에는 요즘 LA에서 힙한 곳인 실버레이크에 – 한국으로 치자면 연남동 같다고 할까요 - 위치한 대만 음식점인 <PINE & CRANE>에 다녀왔습니다.

Their interior was simple yet beautiful. They did a great job of combining an Asian atmosphere into a stylish and contemporary one.

내부가 굉장히 심플하면서도 멋이 있었습니다. 동양의 분위기를 트렌디하고 젊은 감각으로 잘 표현한 것 같았어요. 저도 동양사람이라 그런지 괜히 마음이 편해졌어요.

We ordered 3 traditional cold appetizers, a beef noodle soup, and a beef roll for our lunch.

점심에 가서 3가지 사이드 반찬과 고기국수와 비프롤을 주문했습니다.

As you can see in this video, the noodle had a nice chewy texture, and the meat was very tender. The Beef roll was my favorite from the dishes that we ordered. The combination of the crispy wrap, tender beef, and crisp cucumbers with oyster sauce is really delicious.

동영상에서 보듯이 국수가 굵은 편이고 무척 쫄깃했어요. 두툼한 고기는 너무 부드러웠고요. 비프롤은 제가 여기서 제일 좋아 하는 건데, 겉은 파삭하고 안에 고기랑 오이의 씹히는 맛이 굴소스랑 어울러져서 정말 맛있어요.

This is their minced pork on rice that we ate for dinner on another occasion. The dish was well seasoned and was quite filling.

저녁에 가서 돼지고기 덮밥인데 간이 세지 않아서 좋고 계란 조림까지 같이 있어서 든든한 한끼로 좋을 것 같았어요.

This is a picture of their Dan Dan noodles and their Spicy shrimp wontons. I loved their Dan Dan noodles so much because each ingredient combined perfectly with their hand handmade noodles (also very chewy with a wonderful texture), and the crisp cucumbers was an added bonus in terms of texture.

The wonton was a little bit spicy for me, but the shrimp was perfectly cooked, resulting in an explosion of flavors. My husband who went to there with me really liked their wontons so he went on a wonton excursion looking for the best spicy Szechuan wontons in town.

단단면과 매운 새우 완탕을 주문했는데 이 단단면 정말 맛있더라구요. 재료의 조화가 정말 완벽했는데 특히나 오이를 잔뜩 올려준게 포인트였달까요. 상큼한 오이와 고소한 땅콩소스, 살짝 매콤한 소스, 고기에 쫄깃한 면이 씹히는게 식감이 훌륭했어요.

새우 만두는 저한테는 소스가 매웠는데 새우를 완벽하게 익혀서 톡톡 터지는 건 좋았어요. 같이 간 제 남편은 여기서 먹은 이 새우 완탕이 너무 맛있는 나머지 LA와 주변 지역 최고의 완탕을 찾는 모험을 시작했습니다...
