In South Africa the Bunny Chow is very popular. It basically consist out of a hollowed out half loaf of white bread, filled with a curry stew that can range from mild to blow your teeth out. It is usually consumed for lunch from street vendors and takeaway outlets.

I entertained my guests on a more sophisticated version ... small sourdough loaf of which the crown were cut off. Filled it with flavorful curry stew.
