"Tamu" v1.1

..... how about some "Ikan Masin" (salted fish) from the "Tamu"? Ahhh ... this is somewhat can be an acquired taste but for locals in the "Land Below the Wind", "ikan masin" is a definite yum! Whether it is just fried with oil, mixed with veggies (my favorite is the "kepala ikan masin" (salted fish head) fried with egg plant), complimented with steamed mince porkies .... boy! I'm hungry and salivating already!!!

Mmm, that looks delicious. I've never had it before. You say it's salted. Is that just for preservation? Or is it also for taste? I'm just curious if the flesh is salty too or is it more like flakey fish.
