in #food7 years ago (edited)

Apricots are scientifically known as Prunus armeniaca. These are a small oval shape and are closely related to plums or peaches. Apricots are acidic and sweet in taste makes them more demanding fruit. These have a very thin layer of peel and much juicy pulp. In the center of an apricot, there is a big pit, which cannot be eaten. They are usually orange or orange, with little red marks on one side.

Relieve Constipation

Apricots are rich in fiber and therefore suitable for best bowel movements. They are often recommended for patients who often suffer from constipation due to laxative properties. Fiber is a way to expand the dirt. In this way, it is easier to deliver the body's possible excrement through the intestines.

Strengthen Bones

Apricots have all minerals required for significant or moderate bone growth, such as phosphorus, calcium, iron, copper and manganese.

Improve Heart Health

Apricots are a good way to protect the heart from various diseases including atherosclerosis, stroke and heart attack. A large amount of vitamin C as well as potassium and dietary fiber contribute to cardiovascular health.

Improve Metabolism

The level of fluid throughout the body depends on two minerals, potassium and sodium. A large amount of apricot potassium is combined to maintain fluid balance in the body and ensure that energy is properly distributed in the proper organs and muscles.

Treat Earaches

Apricot oil is good for an earache, although the exact mechanism is still under investigation. It has been proven that squeezing a few drops of avocado oil into the affected ear canal is a quick remedy.

Cure Fever

Apricot juice is usually given to feverish people because it provides the minerals, vitamins, energy and water needed by the body while detoxifying various organs. Some people also use steamed apricots to ease fever.

Apricots (Armenian apples) are a symbol of Armenia - it is one of the most delicious fruits ... since ancient times grown in these places. The best varieties of Armenian apricots are not small (average length 4.0 cm), they are usually fleshy, elastic, easily divided into two halves, Golden and rarely covered with specks. Kernels are tasty, so they can compete with traditional nutsharakteristika-armyanskih-abrikosov.jpg

Good post! I had no idea of so many benefits! They are delicious! Unfortunately leaving your season of maturation right now in my country! I'll miss you until next summer!

I have never come across this fruit. The popular ones we have here are mangies, guava, cashew and oranges.

I'll ask fruit sellers around though, maybe show them some pictures because I have this problem of constipation/indigestion. If it can solve it, then i'll be more proud to say @cryptokraze has helped my cause.

thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing the health benifits of an apricot. To be honest, I haven’t tasted it. I don’t remember seeing one either, just on pictures. 😂

Where do you live @iwanderela? Where is no-apricot-land? 😉 They grow well in northern hemisphere. I used to eat them right off the trees. Delicious

I’m from the Philippines 🇵🇭

Wow! I have never heard about this fruit and little did I know it's infused with such rich effect. Nicely composed, and thanks for sharing.

I eat dry apricot. Anybody please tell me if this is good and equally beneficial as fresh fruit?
