Food of Hungary in Winter

in #food7 years ago

Hi guys! I would like to share with you some of the most famous foods in Hungary during the winter. Just came back from my trip to Budapest and all over the city there were delicious possibilities! Enjoy!

Starting with some nice and sweet hot red wine with orange flavor and a sausage cone on the Christmas market:

Then tried this strange looking cream cheese from the supermarket. It was nice.

Again on a Christmas market- hot red wine and some tradition goulash in bread( it was from beef) and some pickled cabbage with minced meat and some strange, but tasty seasonings.

Into one very lovely small restaurant in the part of Obuda, we tried the soup from catfish. It was very hot and fresh and perfect with some beers in the cold day. The soup is made just from catfish and onions and the taste is very unique and traditional for Hungary( because they used to eat mainly fish dishes with fresh fish caught from the Danube river).

And as a finish of the culinary day, we ordered in the hotel the famous Danubius club sandwich with one of the typical light beers SteffI
