What is Cress?
Cress is the name given to a handful of herbs in the mustard family - from the more well known Watercress, to Upland Cress that you can buy with the roots still attached, baby Watercress, and the more compact Garden Cress which is sold as seedlings in boxes similar to alfalfa.
Each of these varieties of Cress makes a great addition to salads, sandwiches and stews. You'll benefit from their high levels of vitamins C, A, and K, and enjoy their deliciously fresh and peppery flavour.
Garden Cress can also be found as seeds, so you can grow your own healthy garnish in about two weeks.
