No.

And here is why.

Several people have asked me to post more food related stuff and even if I post some every now and then I don’t see myself doing it all the time.

Why then? It would be fairly okay income for me since every food post I have done past has been rewarded with curie and have got fair amount of attention. So why don’t I turn my blog into food blog? It would be easy to me because food is my profession and passion.

The first reason

To be honest that is one of the biggest reason why I’m not going to do that. Food and making it, creating it and thinking it is my profession. I already use at least 5 days a week just by making and thinking food, and I think that it is fair that I can use my free time for something else.

I enjoy creating new dishes, trying out new techniques and it is my passion, but I also need time off to keep my fire burning.

The second reason

Is money. I can create and try out new stuff at work and I don’t have to pay for it, vice versa, they pay for me for doing it. At home I have to buy the ingredients myself and use my personal time for making the food.

Food in Finland isn’t cheap. So just for reason that I want to try something is not big enough reason for me to actually use money too much for it. Using time isn’t the problem, that I waste anyway so I really don’t care if the thing I waste it on is food.

The third reason

Is the food it self. I have a privilege as a chef that I can eat good food at work, and I don’t actually have to make food at home if I don’t want to. And every time I’ve done food post for Steemit I have forced someone to eat my cookings.

I’m a person who can survive months just by drinking protein shakes or coffee and at home I consider instant ramen or oatmeal as descent food for me. I don’t bother to cook just for me, in my eyes it is waste of time and money.

When I have day off from work I usually don’t feel like cooking. I cook for others sometimes up to 7days a week, why would I do it when I don’t have to? I like to experience also other chefs creations and when I’m off from work I wander to restaurants that I yet haven’t tried. For sake that I don’t have to cook and for sake of inspiration.

If I always would just cook at “my own” restaurant or home I would get stuck. For making great food you have to also taste and experience great food. You have to get inspired..

The fourth reason

I

Hate

Doing

Dishes.

From the bottom of my heart. At home I would have to wash dishes my self. By hands. Because after I moved to HEL I needed to do some compromises, smaller apartment that has no washing machine for dishes.

I hate dishes so much that I avoid cooking at home until the end. And let’s face it, at work I can make the trainees to do the dishes, so I don’t have to do it at work either.

The fifth reason

Is the space and equipments. I’m used to cook in professional kitchens, and back when I lived in my previous apartment my kitchen was second from heaven. The case is very different now.

Down town studio has very little room to cooking. In my kitchen has no counter space so cooking anything bigger that instant ramen is basically huge pain in the ass.

The professional kitchen has also professional equipments. SHOCKING NEWS! I know! Proper equipments cut down the amount of time you have to use for cooking. Something I make at work in 5minutes can take 40minutes at home. And isn’t that just annoying that you know yourself that you could do so much better?

The future

I know I’m going to let down several people because of this and I’m sorry. I continue making food posts and taking food pics when ever I feel like it, but there is fairly small change to this blog ever turn into food blog. Never say never, but I wouldn’t hold my breath....

This also means that if you wanna enjoy my cookings you would have to actually visit me. @rubencress knows how I run things with my guests. Don’t you Ruben? It is rare treat for those who deserve it.

Just saying @blewitt.....

Whether you post food pictures (or not) is your prerogative obviously.

Looking at food is not as good as eating food so for me, at least, I won't be let down.

I was in Finland in July visiting @tarazkp, @smallsteps and @momone, (I live in Australia), and managed to eat a lot of munkki which I fell in love with.

I'm not a food blogger either but when I get of may lazy ass and make munkki I'm going to do a blog about it...I'll get someone else to do the dishes, but I'll be involved with the eating.

(I just hope I remember to do the blog-photography before I do the eating...)

Aww! It is always cute when someone falls in love to something Finnish. Munkkis are really good, so I et you, specially when really fresh!

We had an idea with a few friends from abroad that we would switch recipes and make a post about it. That is something that would be interesting to me, but we all have been so lazy that nobody has actually done it yet😅

I fell in love with munkki's a little too much and may have eaten more than my share! 😊 I'm going to make some here as I said and will eat too may again I think.

I do the same basically once a year. Because the first of May is in Finland the day you have to have munkki’s and sima! And I always end up having one too many and don’t want to eat one until next year 😅

I'm not sure what sima is but if it's as good as munkki's then I want some! 😂

It is sweet drink made out of lemons, brown sugar, water and yeast. So something between soda and root beer. Kinda.

Count me in...Looks like I have to come back to Finland around May!

Welcome 😏

I used to hate my dad cooking at home. He was a chef and used every pot and pan in the house. His favorite line was "I cooked ,you clean". I hated dishes ever since and now own a dishwasher.

I don’t have anyone to do dishes like that! Now I get why people gets kids....😝 I’m exactly like your dad, I also love to use every pot and pan in house. The down side is that I have to clean them by myself.

Sooooooo what are you actually trying to say here?!?

That i’ll do it, when i want to 😂

Let's make a deal. You cook I will wash dishes 🤗🙈

This post should get a Curie instead... :’)

You are too kind! 💕 Tho curied rant is always funny😏 wouldn’t be the first actually! A while back I made awful rant about traveling and other tourists and somehow that got rewarded. Make me laugh so hard because somehow I thought that curie rewards only positive content 😅

Hahahahaha - it must be funny to feel so relieved after a rant AND get a reward for it! :D Tourists are shit. I think Curie rewards maaaany topics except for political and some other sensitive subject posts - so keep on ranting! :') Sounds like a great business model.

It is! It’s like winning twice in one competition 😂 i dont know how i came to that conclusion that curie rewards only positive content, but it was like winning lottery for me that this wasn’t the case 😂😝
