So the idea was to make the sweetest chocolate bar ever, called Sweet Africa. This chocolate bar has a homemade caramel filling to give the chocolate bar extra sweetness.

I made the silicone mold already in advance. It took me 8 hours to make a silicone mold. I still had to remove the excess silicone at the opening of the silicone mold.

Like the other silicon molds I made before, this one was also easy to remove from the mold.

Making the chocolate bar

I bought the biggest milk chocolate bar that was available in the shop.

I grated the chocolate bar using a food processor that has a grating disc included.

Then I tempered the chocolate using a microwave.

I poured the melted chocolate inside the silicone mold and shake it till all bubbles escaped. The mold I put in the fridge to chill for 2 hours. In the meantime I made the caramel filling.

Caramel filling

To make liquid homemade caramel you will need:

55 ml/gram water
115 gram sugar
100 gram cream

Take a small pan and pour water and sugar together. Stir a bit and leave it till golden brown.

When it's golden brown, add the cream and stir another 5 minutes.

When the caramel is chilled , slowly pour it into the silicone mold.

Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel and leave it chill again in the fridge for 2 hours.

The details are not really visible, so that's quite a pity.

This is by far the sweetest chocolate bar with a caramel filling I ever tasted.
