Does French Fries Can Put Your Life to an Early Death Risk?

in #food7 years ago

Hello Fellow Steemers,

As I was reading many articles last week about French fries putting our lives to an early death risk. I realized that as a child, I've eaten many french fries countlessly. I don't know how If I will feel good after knowing French Fries can cut down our lives to an early death.

Here's the story which I'll leave a link below. A new study said people could double their risk of dying early if they eat fried potatoes two or three times a week. Scientists in Italy came to that conclusion after tracking more than 4,000 people over eight years. But, they said the study is observational, meaning it didn’t prove that fried potatoes can cause an early death. The scientists also said that other factors could be in play, including obesity and not moving enough.

Let me know what you guys think about not eating French Fries?

I am no medical researcher but I don't think 4000 people is enough to really be accurate. Also not all french fries are the same. McDonalds fries are said to have 19 ingredients. Do you really need more than potatoes, oil and salt? And what are the sources and quality of those ingredients? Just because someone announces in the news that some kind of food is bad does not make it true. Years ago they told us butter was bad and margarine is good. Eggs are bad but cereal is good. Both were lies.

Yeah, honestly speaking @bluethread at this point I don't believe half of their stuff they come up with. I just thought of share this article to be aware of it.

Thank goodness I don't eat potatoes!
