Garlic Crepes, Recipe and Photo Shoot

This is an old traditional recipe that's a favorite in my family. Don't let the simple ingredients fool you. It's delicious and worth spending some more time in the kitchen.

Ingredients
For the crepes:
2 and 1/2 cups water
2 cups flour
1 taspoon salt
4 tablespoons oil (and some for frying)
For the garlic sauace
2 cups of water
4 tablespoons oil
5 cloves of garlic (minced)
salt

Mix the flour, salt and oil. Add the water gradually and mix everything well. The batter shouldn't be too thick so you may need to add some water.

Oil a frying pan and heat it. Pour from the batter enough to cover the pan. Fry on both sides. The crepe is done when it's golden brown and it doesn't stick on the pan. Repeat with the remaining batter and grease the pan from time to time if it's needed.

For the garlic sauce. Mix the water, oil, salt and water in a bowl.

Oil a baking pan and cover it with 2-3 crepes. Pour some of the garlic sauce over the crepes. Then repeat the same with all the crepes. After you have used all the crepes, cut them to the desired shapes and pour over the remaining garlic sauce.

Bake at 200 C (390 F) for about 30 minutes.
Bon Appetit!

Hey, @grandadscookbook.

I'm trying to imagine the combination of thin, fried crepes baked with garlic sauce. I imagine the crepes. I can also get the garlic sauce. But I can't quite get them together. :) I like both enough to actually try them together though.

What else would go with this? And is this a dish for breakfast, or is it something that would be commonly eaten at any point in the day? I've had crepes with fruit and cream for breakfast before, but that's about the end of my crepe knowledge.

Congratulations @grandadscookbook! You received a personal award!
