Garden Blessings
The simple pleasures of real food. Non GMO, Heirloom seeded, no chemicals, pure organically grown . Out where we live the soil only gives rocks and stones. We grow everything in raised beds and flower pots. When i was a child my Mom used to tell me that everyone grew a "Victory Garden". This week we will begin juicing.
I love my bread, sugar, candy and Twinkies, these beautiful gifts of the soil take nothing away from those foods. These foods just make life a bit sweeter and just happen to be good for you. Maybe the FDA will stop pretending they have a clue about nutrition and send seeds to the inner cities instead of inaccurate posters showing their ignorance. Then again I'm just an old cranky guy who lives in a forest 9 and grows his own veggies) :)

2 Sons are developing a Homestead in A Forest. These goodies are from the 2000sq ft raised bed garden. 24, 10X 4 beds. Year 1.ext year we will develop a 1 acre poly-culture garden. Nuts, berries fruits, mushrooms ...
Life is good although a bit more demanding than I expected. The air is clean, the water ( OMG the water!)pure. Lots of 02 from the trees. Small game everywhere and we now have chickens. Next year, goats and maybe a couple of pigs.
