The Fazer Cafe (the best one in Finland)

in #food ā€¢ 7 years ago (edited)

This is Mrs.Heinze posting here again (I did my own introduce a couple days ago, you can find it here šŸ˜Š).

Today I just wanted to share a few photos from my all-time favorite cafe. The Fazer Cafe is in Helsinki (Finland) and it has been my favorite one since I was a child. There are many other Fazer cafes in Finland, but this KluuvinkatuĀ“s Fazer is the original (and the best one). They have good selection of different kinds of sweet and salty pastries and a nice delicatessen. Can recommend their carrot cake (it has thick layer cream cheese frosting on top of it). But most of all, I love their Sunday brunches, there you can eat their awesome cakes as much as you want. ;)

I think that every Finn knows what Fazer is. ItĀ“s over 120 years old Finnish company and itĀ“s almost impossible to avoid seeing their products in grocery stores, cafes, kiosks (they have many different kind of bakery products, candies, cookies) ... For example, they have some very traditional candies like Kiss-Kiss and Fox candies (Pihlaja-karkit), IĀ“m sure that everybody (in Finland) has tasted those at some point. Also, FazerĀ“s chocolates are very popular, especially "FazerĀ“s blue" is part of Finnish cultural heritage.

Those famous Kiss-Kiss candies (one of FazerĀ“s oldest products).

(Last time I ate that mango-lime-white chocolate cake, it was so good).

So, if you are ever somewhere near some of those Fazer cafes, I recommend stopping by šŸ˜Š. And hey, this wasn'tĀ“ a paid ad. :D

I try to lose some weight!

Kiss-Kiss candies, yummy! šŸ¤¤ I also like Fazer cafe, itā€™s my favourite cafeteria in Tampere (and easy to go with strollersšŸ™ŒšŸ½). Next time Iā€™m heading to Helsinki, I will try this one as well.

Oh god, now my sweet tooth is iching badly. Shouldn't have looked at your pictures mrs heinze. :D

Haha :D I know that feeling!

I think my nearest Fazer cafe is in Tampere, but I have never visited there. Maybe I have to stop by :)

Yes you should.. :) And taste carrot cake when you go ;)

Sorry to be the one to you inform you, but Fazer does not bake/provide carrot cake (or chili- chocolate cake) anymore. šŸ˜ƒšŸ‘ŽšŸ¼ It is a huge loss as those were definitely one of the best cake alternatives at Fazer. šŸ˜©šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼

What, no!! Maybe thatā€™s the reason why I didnā€™t find it last time šŸ˜µ Oh my, my day is ruined šŸ˜¢. Luckily they have a lot of other cake options, but I think Iā€™m going to give feedback to them! -mrs. Heinze

I must consider myself lucky, I've never tried those. Now, I don't have to miss them. xD

You are definitely the lucky one in this situation. šŸ€ Last week I met my friend at Fazer Cafe and I couldnā€™t decide between new alternatives. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

Well, they are new, so you will probably have the chance to taste all of them :). I'll be waiting for recommendations!

Same. I have seen it many times in Tampere and walked past it and even planned to go there but I never managed to actually go inside. Maybe one day I'll do that

You should! Can also recommend Cafe Pispala in Tampere! :) ItĀ“s a small place full of feeling, try their brunch on weekend (book table early) ! -mrs.heinze

Me too! Somehow I never end up there!
