RE: What Happens to Your Body--When You Eat Too Much Sugar ?
Added sugar truly is huge problem nowadays. I think people are starting to be more aware of the consequences of having too much sugar, but what's lacking is the knowledge of sugar content in foods. Sure, we know that there's added sugar in sweets, ice creams etc. but many people are completely unaware of the fact that there can be plenty of sugar in the food items they consider healthy, breakfast cereals, yogurts, low-fat salad dressings etc. 200 grams of flavored yogurt can provide more than 20 grams of sugar, that's nearly the maximum recommendation, just from one serving of yogurt. Another enormous problem is soft drinks. It's so easy to drink all the calories and sugar without even noticing it... 0,5 liters of coca cola has more than 50 grams of sugar in it, and still people are drinking it like it'd be water. People should be more educated about these things in order to make a difference.
