Johsch cooks: Crispy Pizza Wheels. Perfectly suited for your own take-away – Step by Step
Quick, tasty, simple: Pizza Wheels are a real winner at parties as finger food. But the mini pizzas are also very suitable for lunch during the week or for take-away. Here's the deal:
Ingredients for 10 pizza rolls
1 onion, garlic clove and a roll of pizza dough
3 tomatoes
4 tablespoons tomato sauce
100 g salami (vegetarians simply leave them out)
150 g grated mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon of oregano, olive oil
A pinch of salt, pepper and chili flakes
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Roll out the pizza dough and coat with tomato sauce. Leave a little space at the edges. Peel the onion and garlic. Chop the onion into small pieces and spread on the sauce. Press the garlic and sprinkle it over the dough.
- Wash the tomatoes, chop them in really small cubes and scatter them on the dough. If you want salami, cut it into thin slices and cover the pizza with them. Finally, season with the spices and oregano.
- Roll the pizza from the bottom and cut it into 10 equal slices. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper and place the Pizza Wheels on top. Now sprinkle them with the grated mozzarella and a little olive oil and bake 'em crisp for 20 min.

Oh, and don't make the same mistake: don't roll the Pizza Wheels on the baking paper. The paper sticks to the dough and the Pizza Wheels are not rolled tight enough. You can see how this looks like in the photo: Slightly deformed Pizza Wheels ¯_(ツ)_/¯ . Were still delicious.
