Meals :
Do not go up on an empty stomach! The breakfast must be complete, preferably "à l'anglaise" (eggs, bacon etc ...) before a day of physical activity.
Slow sugars have their place at lunch and dinner. Complex carbohydrates (pasta, rice ...) ensure the ideal energy qualities for effort and endurance at altitude. However, avoid starchy foods, cabbages, etc., which may cause distension of the digestive organs if you make a quick climb (gondola).
hydration :
Hydrate regularly (drink at least a liter and a half of mineral water per day, without food). Avoid soft drinks before a quick climb (gondola).
