Baked Chicken with Grace Guava Glaze Directions

  1. Wash, clean and cut chicken into joints, set aside.
  2. Season chicken with chicken seasoning, soy sauce, blended seasonings, salt, black pepper, paprika and browning. Leave to marinate for 24 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Pre-heat oven to 180°C/350°F.
  4. Place chicken on a baking tray, skin side up, and bake until clear juices run from the joints of the chicken. This should take about 45 minutes to an hour.
  5. Remove chicken from the baking tray and place in a hotel pan. Pour on Grace Guava Glaze over the top of the chicken, cover with aluminium foil and return to oven. Reduce temperature to 150°C/300°F for another 15 minutes.

    To Make Glaze:
  6. In a sauce pot add Grace Tropical Rhythms, ginger and sugar, bring to a boil.
  7. Allow sauce to simmer for no less than 30 minutes.
  8. Bring the sauce back to a boil then thicken with corn starch. Sauce must be thick enough to coat the back of a metal spoon.
  9. Adjust colour, if desired, with yellow food colouring.

To Serve: Serve with your favourite starch and a salad.
