I have a big smile on every time I walk through the cheese isles at markets, knowing that it’s an endless universe of possibilities.

Cheese is a great vegetarian source of protein, calcium, fat, enzymes, and flavor! and most of it is keto friendly!

however, not all cheese is created equal when it comes to keto dieting. The most ideal cheese is like the one I had for lunch today, pictured here, because it had ten grams of fat per 5 grams of protein, and only one gram of netCarbs.

It doesn’t mean that I can’t have other cheese, because I do plenty of that, with those I have to consume additional sources of fat.

basically, when shopping for cheese, always choose ones where the fat content is the highest, preferably 2:1 fat to protein or higher, and minimum to no carbs.

here is a list of some cheese I know of that is keto friendly:

Brie
Cream Cheese
Havarti
Ricotta

cheese that has a 1:1 ratio ( not keto, but can be used with addition of oil or fat):
Mozzarella
Parmesan
Cheddar
Swiss

Cheese that is usually higher in protein than in fat:
Feta
Haloumi
Low-fat cheese ( yuck )

I am most fond of eating cakes mixed with cheese, thanks @ketopian

Me too! It’s odd but cheese with dessert is so yummy. There’s a Syrian dessert called Knafeh where it’s mostly made of cheese! I’ll figure out how to make it and share asp.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you, I hope you find it useful.

who on earth would eat low-fat cheese?? that's just sad 😂
i loooooove cheese 🤤

I used to 😭 because I believed that was the healthiest choice. It makes me sad just remembering.
