The best soft chocolate chip cookies!
Hi everyone! I have tried what seems like hundreds of cookie recipes and I have to say this is by far the best!
Quick, easy and delicious!

Ingredients:
8 tablespoons of salted butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Microwave the butter for about 40 seconds to just barely melt it ( it shouldn't be hot but it should be in liquid form).
- Beat the butter with the sugars until creamy. Next add the vanilla and the egg and beat everything together. (just until incorporated. If you beat the egg for too long the cookies will be stiff)
- Add the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until crumbles form. Use your hands to press the crumbs together into a dough. It should form one big ball. Finally add the chocolate chips and incorporate with your hands.
- Roll the dough into balls ( I usually make about 20 balls but you can make them according to the size you want your cookies to be) and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes until the cookies look puffy and dry and just barely golden.
- Let them cool for about 30 minutes or so. ( It's OK to eat 1 or 2...or 5 😜 )
DO NOT OVERBAKE!!! It's essential for keeping the cookies soft.
