Pan Fried Tilapia w/ Charred Grape Tomatoes & Garlic
Tilapia is one of the most popular types of fish because of its affordability, even those it is not my favorite I do occasionally buy it. Today I would like to share a simple and quick recipe and show you how to turn this plain fish into something colorful.
Ingredients:
- 3 tilapia fillets;
- grape tomatoes (halved);
- 2-3 cloves of garlic (sliced);
- coconut oil for frying;
- salt and pepper to taste;
- fresh cilantro for garnish;
- fresh or canned jalapenos (optional);
Directions:
Heat up your frying pan at a medium heat, salt and pepper the fish fillets and place them on the pan. Cook at a low heat until the edges of the fish turn white, then flip it and continue cooking, when it is almost done add in the tomatoes and garlic, let them cook a bit. To get this charred look on my tomatoes I used a torch, but if you don't have one it is alright. Your tomatoes will still look and taste great!
Top the dish off with fresh cilantro and/or jalapeno peppers. Unfortunately, I didn't have fresh jalapenos on hand so I decided to use the ones I had in a jar for extra spicy flavor.
как тебе удается всегда эту цветовую гамму выдерживать...

Спасибо! Не знаю, главное, чтобы разная еда под рукой была хаха
красиво так...
I also love tilapia but here it looks delicious.
Nice post. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I get hungry now.... :)
P.S
Sometimes jalapenos in jar can have much more flavor than fresh.
Very true, I get those quite often haha.
Thank you :)
Tilapia new protein for me, I thought it was chicken looks a lot like chicken, I think I can imagine the smell of that fish mmm greetings friend I hope you find yourself well @kotturinn
Yeah, it does sort of look like chicken breast and tilapia is definitely a decent alternative for a change! You should make some :D
I'm going to take your word I'll go to the fish market of my town to see if I get Tilapia I like that aspect, do you have many thorns?
Sounds good! Actually the fish I got was already cleaned, so I didn't have to remove the bones out of it!
I understand, I was already filleted when I go to the beach I usually do the whole fish on the grill, I like the fish filet it is one of my favorites, it helps me a lot for my diet
I've had a whole tilapia once before, but I haven't cooked it myself, it was good, I usually don't mind taking bones out and cleaning fish, but it is just easier to get it already cleaned sometimes.
You're right, it does not bother me to clean it either, but it takes a lot of work, do you know about the sarnids?
Yeah, I know what kinda fish this is, what about it? Is it another one you like?
Yummy!
Thanks!
Wa wa wi wa!😍😍😍😋😋😋😋

This one looks very interesting and yummy wow thanks for sharing
Anytime, thanks!
This looks awesome! I like the idea of fish and jalapeños.
Thanks! I'm not sure if they would work with salmon for instance, but I guess white fish works just fine!
Maybe some nice pepper with salmon or regular chilly? I'm a fan of salted green pepper.
Don't think I've had regular pepper salted, it's probably good with salmon!
perfectly cooked that up so interesting and yummy :)
Thanks @cutiepie!
