TURKEY SWEET POTATO CHILI----> RECIPE INCLUDED!
Good day fellow steemers! Today you will learn how to make the best turkey chili ever. This recipe is great for a busy weeknight and is healthy as well! This recipe has just the right amount of spice as the heat is a pleasant accent on your tongue.
Ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Medium Onion
- 2 Large Sweet Potatoes, Cubed
- 1 Lb Ground Turkey
- 1 Can Rotel (diced tomatoes with peppers)
- 2 Pablano Peppers; seeds and centers removed
- 1 Can Black Beans
- 1 Can Kidney Beans
- 1 Can Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)
- 2 Cans Chicken Broth
- 1/2 Tsp Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Toppings (optional)
- Tortilla strips
- Avocado
- Cilantro
- Lime Wedge
- Sour Cream
- Cheddar Cheese
Directions
- In a soup pot heat oil and saute onions, season with salt and pepper
- Add ground turkey and brown it
- Add all beans, the can of rotel, and all spices. Then add the chicken broth, sweet potatoes and pablano peppers
- Bring it to a boil and then lower heat,; let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Plate it, top it off (optional), and enjoy!
