Eat Like God In Germany

Today I'm going to show you an afternoon coffee treat.
We usually have coffee between 2 and 4 p.m. and it is the link between lunch and dinner.
Here we serve one or two cups of coffee and a piece of cake or a "Süsses Stückle".

The " Süsse Stückle " is a yeast pastry or can also be made from choux pastry.
With my coffee wreath yesterday, there was a nut knot.

The nut knot is a yeast pastry into which a sweetened nut mix is kneaded and a fat icing is added at the end.

As you can see here, we didn't skimp on the icing.
The cake was accompanied by a fine cup of coffee crema, made with Swiss Schümli Cream beans.
By the way, Schümli means "little fluff" and appears on the coffee when it is prepared by the coffee machine.

Of course, the beans are freshly ground and each cup is brewed individually.
The nut filling in the nut knot is really opunlent.
