  As we all know, a thing is valued if it is rare. Historically, many foods that we have eaten, their prices have been increased, for example, Chinese people’s favorite food, Cubilose, which is claimed as “oriental caviar” , in Hongkong, it costs as much as 30$ each bowl , 10$ each gram, the price per pound can reach more than 4000$, such high price makes Cubilose one of the most precious foods in the world.   

  The number of foods that we have eaten to its price rising internationally is not a few. Some foreigners may plaint that Chinese people are too rich to eat as much as they like till its price rising. There is an ancient Chinese remark still going around like this. “ Food is the paramount necessity of people”. This is inseparable from our pursuit of foods, and the profundity of Chinese cuisines.  

  We can not only eat but also are good at it, Chinese cuisines that win world’s popularity do not get hollow reputation.   

 Not to mention the foods that we have eaten to its price-rising, we have saved the world’s industries. For example, In California, USA, water prices rose sharply due to dry weather in previous years, and California citrus was a very water-consuming plant. Looking at the large citrus industry, some Americans could barely pay for water, and they were preparing to cut back the citrus and replace them with other plants with lower water consumption, the Chinese turned out to buy California citrus, and made California’s citrus industry back to life, and now the Chinese are still an important consumer of American citrus.  

  It’s also the same with Spanish vegetable industry. Spain originally has a unique climate for growing vegetables. However, with the expansion of European plastic greenhouses and the promotion of off-season vegetable cultivation techniques, the Spanish vegetable growing industry has been hit hard. It is because the arrival of Chinese people in Spain and planted there the vegetable that Chinese like to eat, Spain called for the slogan “ Cultivate Chinese vegetable”.  Now we are looking at what foreigners said: As long as the Chinese like to eat the food, its price will be rising.     

  We all know the lobsters in Maine, USA, we Chinese not only saved it, but also eat till its price up, In last 90th of last century, American lobsters in Maine once held up local economic sources, but along with Canadian Boston lobster, European blue lobster and Australian rock lobster have entered the international market, the international position of the United States Maine lobster suffered a plummeting process, some Maine natives who operated in large-scale breeding faced bankruptcy, The Chinese turned out to purchase Maine lobsters to rejuvenate their lobster industry.     

  With the rise of logistics, shipping, and e-shopping in China, the number of lobsters that Chinese purchased from the United States is increasing. Bill Bruns, manager of the American Shrimp Company, said, the Chinese people will only need more lobsters.     

  In 2016, a fresh Maine lobster is still about US 10$ per pound. This year it has risen to about US $13 per pound. Some Americans in other states that do not produce lobsters have complained that Chinese eat the lobster to its price rise. At present, China will soon surpass Canada as the main consumer of lobsters in Maine, the United States.    

There have been foreign media reports: The Chinese are manipulating food prices around the world.   

The article said, as the Chinese people like avocado more and more, it directly led to the price of Mexican avocado, a record high, now it has reached 20CNY per catty（1catty=500g）, 12CNY higher than in previous years. For a while, the Chinese even monopolized the Mexican avocado market. Some foreigners simply could not buy avocados from Mexicans.   

 Some foreigners have to sigh: Chinese people will buy, as long as they like it. There are also many people who buy things however expensive. It is strange if the prices do not rise.  

  Also, the same with the butter. As with the integration with the international standards, some Chinese people also like to eat butter( it is worth noting that the word ”some” is almost equivalent to the national population in some countries), leading to a rise in global butter prices. There are tuna, which Chinese who are willing to buy at a higher price, leading to the soaring price of tuna, which was originally low in price.   

 Once foreign media reported that: butter, tuna, pork... their price will rise as soon as Chinese people eat. We all know that Chinese people like to eat pork and also China is the largest producer of pork, so the import and export of pork is affected by the Chinese market. Both Japan and South Korea are affected by price of Chinese domestic pork.
