We decide more so now in what to think, believe in a more decentralized fashion. We decide who we want to make famous or not. We are leaving the spoon-fed controls of the past.

That is totally a great insight! And super interesting. I was just in New York, and my husband asked me why it's my favorite city. And it's just that, it's iconic in that locations are just as famous as the people! :)
