A steemian's world food journal: Transit Berlin with @knozaki2015
Hello Steemians,
Yesterday I and @knozaki2015 had a meetup in Berlin after he was back from Steemfest. This time, he took us to Transit – an Asian mixed cuisine restaurant offering Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Indonesian dishes. As Knozaki has introduced so many great eating places to us before, I walked in eagerly with an empty stomach, 100% ready for all the yummy food ahead :P
The décor is pretty stylish and modern. I love the lamps on the ceiling, they look like shining bubbles which reminds me of the lantern scene from Tangle, very romantic ^^
There are many interesting kinds of drinks here, especially the home-made drink category with tempting names such as “gorgeous ginger”, “creamy gold” or “virgin transit”.
This is the food menu with various small dishes from different parts of Asia. They all cost 3.5 euro. The large dishes are from 8 euro.
With a pencil and a paper, just tick anything you want and here we go…
Our meal looks soooo attracting and tasty, doesn’t it? We decided to order small dishes only since it was 3pm and everybody did not want to get so full before dinner, however it turned out the bowls were not small lol.
Chicken with peanut sauce- I LOVE this one, the chicken was so soft and the peanut sauce was awesome.
The roasted duck wrapped in rice paper, eating with fresh onion and cucumber, dipping sauce.
Green papaya salad- I like the taste of this salad because it is similar to my favorite salad in Vietnam, sweet, sour and tasty ;)
Pork in sweet and sour sauce
Crispy deep-fried duck skin in sweet and sour sauce- this dish is very interesting, both Knozaki and I like it although my hubby think it is very unhealthy ^^
Prawn tempura in avocado sauce
Duck (again) in five spices sauce
Wonton soup- Knozaki could not eat this one since there were too much coriander !!! LOL
Stirred vegetables
A bowl of rice for Knozaki (he can not live without rice hahaha)
Last but not least, our dessert: mango panna cotta, pearls in coconut milk and crème brulee. They all tasted good and not too sweet (which I really like). My favorite is the pearl in coconut milk, it’s been such a long time since I lasted ate this sweet soup. In general, all the dishes are yummy and I felt like I was having a fine dining even though they are not sophisticated and expensive :D
It is good that we can have so many favorite Asian dishes in one restaurant with pretty good quality and reasonable price.
Thank you @knozaki2015, our food expert and thank you Steemians for taking time to read my post too.
On the next post, I will write about my most favorite restaurant from all the ones introduced by Knozaki so far, stay tuned and see you soon <3<3<3
