There are a few things in life I enjoy more than naked baking and one of them is watching new Game of Thrones episodes. With a new season right around the corner, you can be sure that I will be going to my fair share of GoT watch parties. My favorite type of watch party to go to is one where everyone brings a dish that ties into the theme of the show somehow. In preparation for that, I decided to perfect my Lemon Cake recipe. As some of you may remember from the books or the show, Sansa is a big fan of lemon cakes. The recipe I worked on here came after about 3 different trial an error test runs. I am super happy with how it turned out. They are almost bite size, perfectly sweet, and not bitter at all. The little lemon rind can be eaten or tossed depending on your taste. I toss it. Sansa's Lemon Cakes:

1 ¼ cup all purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon fine salt
2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
½ cup melted, cooled, unsalted butter
½ cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons lemon zest
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2-3 lemons sliced
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
