Soup with Tomatoes and Meatballs





Ingredients


  • 1½ onions;
  • 1 small carrot;
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
  • 5 tablespoons of soy sauce;
  • 400 g sliced ​​tomatoes in their own juice;
  • 1½ liters of water;
  • 200 g of pork and ground beef ;
  • 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs;
  • 80 grams of red lentils;
  • 4 sprigs of thyme;
  • ½ tsp sugar;
  • salt - to taste.

Cooking



Cut 1 onion and carrot into small cubes. In a saucepan with hot oil, fry the onions to transparency. Put the carrots and browse the vegetables.

Add to the frying 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, tomatoes and water. Bring the soup to a boil over high heat.

Meanwhile, mix the minced meat, grated half of the onion, crackers and 2 spoons of soy sauce. Form the meatballs and dip them into the boiling soup. Reduce heat and cook for 10–15 minutes.

Then put the lentils on and boil for another 15–20 minutes. Add thyme leaves, sugar and salt, mix and let the dish brew a little.
