Coconut kisses // rich dessert
In my case and the one of my family, we have planned to stay in a small house to see some movies eating some popcorn, sweets and some great kisses; share the warmth of home that we like so much.
I tell them to make a sweet appetizer for that occasion, a traditional Venezuelan recipe that my mother loved to make and of course her daughters inherited that taste for coconut kisses.
Well friends without more talk, here I share the ingredients and the way of preparation; They are super easy and after they dare to do it they will love them.
Ingredients:
2 Grated coconuts.
½ kg. Wheat flour all use.
1 brown paper (small)
1 teaspoon of baking soda
½ teaspoon of aniseed grain.
preparation:
- We strip the foil through the thick side of the rallo and place it in a saucepan, add 1 liter of water with the teaspoon of baking soda and put it in the kitchen over high heat. When the mixture starts to boil, we lower the temperature and stir constantly until the preparation decreases by half; that is to say that we have approximately ½ liter of honey.
- We take a large bowl, place the previously sieved wheat flour, the grated coconut, the ½ teaspoon of aniseed and mix all these dry ingredients so that they are integrated.
- Ready the dry ingredients, we put the paper honey and stir until we have a thick mixture.
Note: honey should be poured little by little, to take care that the mixture is not too liquid.
- we greased and flour a tray, we form with the mixture the kisses giving a "tower" shape and take it to the oven at a temperature of 180 C for about 50 minutes or until golden brown.
Note: The oven must be preheated a few minutes before putting the kisses. We must remember that we are using paper and the kisses are going to be a dark color, but it does not mean that others were baked.
Once the coconut kisses are ready, we can eat them warm, store them in a covered container and eat them the next day to taste a special sweet in them; or simply eat it as they provoke you.
As always grateful to be able to share my recipes with you,
Regards ... Bon Appetite ...
That looks wonderful. i would love to try it.
Of course you can try it, just dare
