Hot Broth For Winter COW’s FOOT WITH STRAWBERRY SOUP
Sounds unfamiliar?Cow’s foot with strawberry 🍓 soup? I definitely recommend you to try this! It’s full of good staff!delicious & perfect for cold weather like this (winter). Unbelievable! its March but winter is not over yet here in Montreal! that’s why I have decided to make a dish (soup) made with cow’s foot...believe it or not but I used strawberry & cabbage as the main ingredients seasons with different Filipino seasonings & spice that is blend with Pinoy LOVE ❤️
Ingredients:
2kg cow foot, thoroughly washed
750g Strawberry (fresh)
500g Cabbage
6 - 8 cloves garlic
Mirepoix ( onion, carrot, celery, leek)
Bouquet Garni (bay leaf, thyme, pepper corn, parsley)
Ginger thumb size
Cane vinegar (sukang iloco)
Patis (fish sauce)
Methods:
- In a pot put the mirepoix & garlic, add the cow foot, blend it within 12-15 minutes in the oven or stove top
- Add water to cover the meat, then add the ginger & bouquet garni. Simmer until the cow foot is soft.
- Add the cabbage & strawberry then season with vinegar, patis & pepper to taste. Serve hot on its own or with a side like steamed rice.
Note:
To shortened the cooking time use pressure cooker & cook about 20 - 22 minutes after water starts boiling.
