Unicorn Oats!

Dressing up a simple bowl of oats can be so much fun! If you have kids, what better way to get them to eat healthy and nutritious foods than to create a craft out of it.

For the above, I used the following ingredients: 1/2 cup quick oats, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, sliced banana, 1/2 tsp blue spirulina for that antioxidant push, some unsweetened coconut flakes, and some unsweetened sprinkles for the magic :)

To make this more fun, try cutting out different shapes for the fruits or a new color for the oats. You can use green spirulina for a green color (however, it does have a slight taste). You can also use Macai or Dragon fruit powders for a purple or pink color respectfully. Make breakfast more enjoyable since it is THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY. I know that's cliche, but hey it's so true! Eating a full breakfast with some fiber will not only provide your body with the nutrients it needs to start off the day right, but it also will keep you full if you often find yourself reaching for snacks throughout the day.

If you are looking into weight loss, try incorporating more fiber into your diet. Also, to boost your metabolism, eat multiple small, healthy meals throughout the day instead of a few large meals. Stay tuned to my posts for more healthy options for you to try out!
