Righteous Red Pepper & Sausage Cream Sauce
Today's dinner at the @gardenofeden was one of the best meals I've had all day! This super easy, dankalicious cream sauce was cooked over the open fire of the handmade earthen rocket stoves, and it was super stellar served over butternut squash noodles.
RED PEPPER & SAUSAGE CREAM SAUCE
Ingredients:
- Red onions
- Red pepper
- Chopped tomatoes
- Minced garlic
- Organic sausage
- Heavy cream
- Herbs
- Cheese and/or sour cream
Super Secret Ingredients: - Pink Himalayan salt
- Balsamic vinegar
- Lime juice
- Cayenne pepper
Method:
- Build a rocket stove out of dirt.
- Grow and harvest herbs - we have rosemary, lemon balm, oregano, chives, and basils that we used for this recipe, and many other lovely varieties that we use for other lovely dishes and medicines.
- Light a fire in the rocket stove.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over the fire, and gently sauté red onions and peppers.
- Slice sausages into bite size-ish pieces and throw in the pan with tomatoes.
- Add garlic and whatever herbs you like.
- Add heavy cream and gently simmer - make sure to control your fire to simmer level or keep it stirring so it doesn't scorch!
- Pull off the heat, and melt in some yummy cheese or sour cream for extra dankness if you want it.
- Add a wee little bit of the super secret ingredients to give it full on flavor.
- Serve over awesome pasta - we used butternut squash noodles today!
- FEAST with loved ones in joy and freedom!

Mmmmmm....and to really take it over the top add sour cream, diced tomatoes, a splash of balsamic, a squeeze of lime, and lots of cayenne This was indeed dank-a-licious!! Sweet gif @saramiller!
