Every sunday for as long as I can remember, this delicious dish consisting of several dishes is made. Typically you would find them in a warung or a market.
It is always served warm in banana leaves. And you always share it with someone else, usually good friend(s) or family.
A warung (old spelling waroeng) is a type of small family-owned business — a small restaurant or Café — in "Indonesia")
warungs can also be found in other parts of the world, where there are Indonesian descendants.
omg that looks delicious. What are some of the ingredients?
So it all really depends on the occasion. My grandma is from Indonesia, so that makes me like a quarter "indo". And she always used to make this on special days, for instance after Ramadan\Birth\Death. But the "main" dishes are , the "bami" (stir-fried noodles), the "nasi" (stir-fried rice), the roosted chicken, coconut chicken and the "goedanang"(green salad with sweet coconut), fried peanuts. A lot goes into making this and i've had many variations of it.
