Tour of Iksan and Local Bibimbap(Mixed Rice)
Iksan is famous city for its historical heritage.
It is believed once a capital of Baekje dynasty but not confirmed. There is a place of the Palace.
My mom and I took a tour to Iksan city.
I ‘d like to see Buddhist Pagoda which was well known for Mi Reuk Sa(Future Buddha Temple) 9 stone story pagoda designated as Historical Heritage of the mankind.
My mom was pleased. It was first time for her to visit the Mi Reuk Sa.
Unfortunately, there is nothing left except the Pagoda in Mi Reuk Sa. Even more, no one could see the Pagoda, because there have been undergoing overall repair and rearrangement.
The first shape was looked like as below (model)
When dynasty collapsed, everything having relation with the dynasty was wrecked together
Now the rebuilding process is undergoing, so we can’t see the pagoda.
Scholars estimated the very first shape like this.
They had built the exact same model.
It was a huge pagoda.
It is amazing that this pagoda was built more than 1600 years ago.
Look!
How big a pagoda comparing to people who is standing beside of the pagoda.
I took a photo for my mom
There were many stones which were found in this area. These stones might be the parts of the original pagoda.
They found many substances inside of the pagoda during taking the pagoda into pieces to rebuilt.
The best course of a trip must be a nice cousine.
The most famous food was the Bibimbop.
The bibimbop in this area is different from others.
They use raw meat for the bibimbop.
This is a blood stew.
Have you ever taken befor ?
It tastes very good.
I promise you will like it.
As always my mom like today’s tour.
Let me tour with you virtually @slowwalker

Iksan is a beautiful city. Nice photos!

Pagodas are mysterious. I remember being fascinated by them as a child.
This one is in ruins - perhaps the result of a lightning strike, @slowwalker.
Those relics are precious - this pagoda probably housed many sacred objects and writings.
The smile on your mother's face at the end sums up the blissful mode of this photo essay - lovely food, beautiful photos and another joyful memory.
Good work, @slowwalker!
