What I ate lunch in my last business tour with my colleagues.

It was my last business tour in my job with my colleagues. So it was very meaningful for me that I had a chance for business tour. In my last assignment I needed to have had the business tour for many times.

Whenever we have left the business tour, the thing kept us remember was what we ate.
So our team’s first mission was to find and select the best restaurants near the area of our destination.

What we selected lunch menu at first day of business tour was tofu.

Our destination of tour was Gangwondo province.
Gangwondo province was mountain area in Korea, tofu was famous in this area.
Because the bean, material of tofu, was well cultivated in impoverished soil like Gangwondo province.

I surfed internet and found the restaurant in the name of Gal mae.
The comments for this restaurant was interesting, food was excellent but not kind.

Our team was combined with Korea University research center, so professors of University were the specialists in tasting food. They also have traveled every place in Korea for long time.

The Gal mae restaurant was located in the corner of our destination, so it was not easy to get there.

The restaurant was decorated pretty and made me feel sweet

But the hall was full of people. We needed to wait for for 30 minutes to take a lunch.

As sitting in the hall, they prepared for lunch.
Main dishes were tofu soup and fried tofu.

Tofu soup was boiled, the taste of soup was excellent. I could not express the taste with my English. What I could tell you was delicate taste.
No sweet, not salty, but my tongue felt something different taste.

Fried tofu was also excellent, anybody on earth would like the fried tofu.
I ate fried tofu with soy sauce.

Side dishes were also very nice.

Below was potato cake, it was similar to potato pizza.

There is big difference in serving style between Korean food and Western food.

Korean food made it’s unique taste in eating various food together in one mouth.

So the taste was very creative according to the mixture of various dishes.

I ate like that.

I was satisfied with this lunch.
