A feasting journey 🍽 at bouchon Enfin by James Won is a French restaurant with a Malaysian twist.
Only the best local ingredients are being used to showcase the Malaysian cultures, heritages and diversities. At the door step, we are welcomed by the colourful and eye-catching mural 🤩 on the wall, stating the name of the restaurant and our nation’s iconic orang utan and hornbill. The setting of the restaurant is comfy and cozy with picturesque vibe 🖼 . The bar is just an amazing sight with many choices of cocktail drinks🍸🍹. The staff are professional and provided a great hospitality as well.
The starters came with
-Crispy Dried Sausage
-Breaded Spam Fries with kimchi Mayo
-Lyonnaise potato
-Mushroom soup (😄maximum creaminess!) Then came,
-Charcuterie which consist of smoked, cured meat, dried fruits and cheese 🧀, which was just amazing in the flavours.
For the mains,
-Wild Rice Bowl that’s super appetizing and tantalizing, it has the combination of smoked cured pork cheek, onsen kampung egg 🥚 and the premium Salleh and Rumie rice 🌾 .
-Coq Au Vin that’s warming and heavenly consisting of half spring chicken 🐔, Fook Chow red wine, lard and assorted vegetables.
-Hamburger 🍔 , made of pork lard, Australian beef with onion marmalade and cheddar cheese. This is extremely juicy and savoury , splendid for pork lover 🐷.
The dessert,
-Sarawak Pineapple 🍍, peppercorn tarte tatin and vanilla parfait glacé 🍨. This is an absolute delight, aromatic with the richness in spices.
-Chocolate Mousse Pods 🍫, this enticing and delectable chocolate dessert with a hint of dark chocolate comes as the finale in this journey which is warmly pleasing😋.
