NORI VEGETABLE ROLL ..EAT YOUR WAY TO HEALTH AND WEALTH

Brown rice and red quinoa , which both have a nutty flavour , are known to have a calming effect on the nervous system. the high fiber content of brown rice also benefits digestion . Nori , like quinoa , is high in protein , keeping your energy levels higher for longer . It also helps strengthen blood vessels . This wholesome dish is a practical food to eat on the go or serve as a picnic snack .
[HOW TO COOK ] ~
1} Place the rice and quinoa in a large saucepan, add 800ml (1half pints) of water and bring to boil .Reduce the heat , cover with a lid and simmer for 1 hour or until the water is absorbed .
2} Remove the pan from the heat and add the Himalayan pink salt , rice vinegar and mirin sauce . Combine well and set aside to infuse .
3} Meanwhile , toast the sesame seeds by dry-frying them in a saucepan until they turn golden , then set aside to cool . Combine the ingredients for the dipping sauce in a small bowl and set aside .

4} IF you don't have a sushi roll mat, use a sheet of baking parchment slightly larger than the nori sheet , (which will enable you to store the rolls for a few hours before serving ) or you might find it just has easy to roll without either . To assemble a roll , place a sheet of nori , shiny side down, on a clean, flat surface . Spread a thin layer od rice , about 5cm (2in) thick , on top of the sheet .Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds and a few drops of toasted sesame oil over the rice . Carefully arrange one or two of each of the sliced vegetables at one end of the nori sheet so that they all lie horizontally across the rice . Fold the nori sheeet over the vegetables and continue to roll it up . Seal the end of the nori by running a little water along the seam side with your finger . Repeat this process until you have the desired amount of rolls .
5} To serve , dip a serrated knife into water and slice the nori rolls into bite-sized pieces. Stand the roll upright on a serving plate with the bowl of dipping on the side. thank you .
