Poulet à la Vénitienne

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1/2 cup of white wine
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut chicken into pieces and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the chicken pieces. Cook until golden brown.
  4. Add the onion, garlic, green pepper, and tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the wine, oregano, thyme, and basil. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe baking dish.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Serve hot. Enjoy!
