American chop suey
American chop suey is a delicacy of italian-american origin that is popular mostly in the new england region of the united states.
The american chop suey is sometimes mistaken as the american goulash. It is very budget friendly.
Ingredients
16 ounces macaroni
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large onion (chopped)
1 green bell pepper
2 pounds of ground beef
2 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Salt ( to taste)
Steps
heat the butter in a largr pot over a medium heat, add the onions and pepper and stirr.
add the garlic and also stirr for about 60 seconds.
add the ground beef and cook until the beef is no longer pinkish in colour anymore and also sprinkle the herbs, pepper over the meat and add salt to taste.
Wbring a large pot of salted water to boil over a high heat and add the macaroni and cook, stirring it occasionally.
drain and mix the spaghetti into the chop suey.
