[Crunchy Korean Fried Chicken (Dakgangjeong)]
Everyone knows that Korean fried chicken is very tasty, but nothing can be compared to crunchy Korean fried chicken Dakgangjeong! By frying at home, it's much healthier than fast food! Crispy, juicy chicken legs and sweet, spicy glaze sauce, you can't stop your hands from Dakgangjeong.
2~3 servings
500g boneless chicken legs
1/2 cup milk
15 peanuts
Vegetable oil for frying
1 tablespoon rice wine
1 egg white
1 pinch salt and pepper
5 tablespoons corn starch
6 tablespoons bread crumbs
6 tablespoons corn syrup
3 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons rice wine
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pinch pepper
STEP 1) let chicken legs in milk bath for 5 min and rinse. Cut chicken legs into bite-sized pieces, season with seasoning ingredients and marinate for 10 mins.
Chop peanuts roughly.
STEP 2) Combine fry mixture ingredients in a bowl, dip chicken legs into mixture to coat.
STEP 3) Add enough oil in a pot, heat to 170℃, and fry chicken legs until golden brown on the outside.
(To make it crispier, fry once again on high heat)
STEP 4) Heat another pot and add soy sauce ingredients. Simmer until it starts to boil, dip fried chicken legs until they are evenly coated. Sprinkle with peanuts to serve.
STEP 5) Transfer chicken legs to a plate and serve.
