STEEMIT GINGER COOCKIES.

in #food8 years ago (edited)

Hello STEEMIT!  My kids love the ginger biscuits. For a long time, they asked me to bake it, and finally I had some free time and I set to work.

In my kitchen cupboard I have found a lot of wheat grain and I decided to use a part of it to make flour. This grain I ordered from Altai (Siberia), where it is grown environmentally friendly way without using pesticides, herbicides and so on.

I have a wonderful mill, which I used to mill grain. This can be done in several stages.
First  mill grain.

Then, the resulting flour sift through a sieve.

What is left in the sieve, put back into the mill, and so repeat several times until you will not have a little bran and lots of fresh wholegrain flour. You can cook the morning porridge of these bran or add it to smoothies, or steamed vegetables, or use in baking bread. They are very useful for digestion.

  So we made a meal.
For cookies, we need:
2 eggs
2 glasses of flour
150g of  butter
1/2 glass of sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
a pinch of salt
2 teaspoons ginger powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1.5 tablespoons of cocoa (I used grated cocoa)

In the recipe with usual refined flour, you will need 2 glasses of flour, in my case, I had to add another 1 glass, that is, 3 glasses.
I added grated cocoa and you can use more cinnamon and ginger, if you want :)

 Beat the eggs with sugar

Mash the butter with knife or a fork and add it into the beaten eggs. I also added cacao.  Stir, then add the flour and spices, and stir again.

You`ll get  the dough should be divided into two pieces and put in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. You can also see my favorite frozen blueberries, which I use for pies or add to smoothies.

It is time to turn on the oven, to heated it up to 180 degrees C.

In 20 minutes take one of the bags with dough.  Make a layer of it thickness of about 0.5 cm (I use a baking paper). Then, using coockie forms or cup and make cookies.

Put cookies on the oiled oven-tray or baking paper.

We send in the oven for about 20 minutes.

 Cookies ready.

But I thought that it was not enough and I decided to make a STEEMIT cookies. nekromarinist made specifically for these cookies stencil and we decorated them with the sugar powdered. So we've got the UPVOTE cookies and STEEMIT cookies. In general, we had so much fun.
