Panna cotta with caramelized pears, dark chocolate and walnut syrup ✨
A few days ago I was doing my food shopping in the local shop when I stumbled upon something interesting which inspired me to make today's dessert. This interesting thing was walnut syrup consisting of all natural ingredients and made by local manufacture. Caramel and walnuts are a perfect match so I couldn't resist and bought the bottle of this tasty liquid with the intention of preparing something awesome in my kitchen. I knew that this syrup needed something delicate in flavor, so the choice fallen on the Italian famous dessert - panna cotta.
Panna cotta is usually served with fruits or fruit mousse. In my version key role play caramelized pears, grated chocolate and of course walnut syrup. This combination is amazing and if by any chance you have some rum at home, you can add it to pears and you will get even more sophisticated taste which will surprise your family members or guests. This is my first try with panna cotta but I've got more ideas how to serve this famous dessert so stay tuned :)
Ingredients:
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 200 ml milk
- 60 g sugar
- 1 vanilla pod
- 2 gelatine leaves
Caramelized pears:
- 2 pears
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- grated dark chocolate
Method:
- Soak the gelatine leaves in 2 tablespoons of cold water until soft.
- Cut the vanilla pod and scrape the seeds.
- Place into the pan the cream, milk, vanilla pod and seeds and sugar and bring to a simmer then take it off the heat. Remove the vanilla pod and add gelatine leaves. Stir until gelatine leaves are dissolved.
- Divide panna cotta into the cups, wait until cool down and then put into the fridge for a couple of hours or overnight.
- Peel the pears, remove the seeds and cut.
- Place the sugar and maple syrup into the pan. Once the mixture begins to boil, add pears and lemon juice. Cook until you get the syrup and the pears are golden light.
- Turn panna cotta out onto a plate. Top with caramelized pears, grated chocolate and walnut syrup.
Bon appetit! 😊

Không phải sữa chua bạn ơi. Cái này sử dụng chất làm đặc cho sữa để tạo khối là gelatin, không lên men tự nhiên :)
