Football Prediction #9 (3/08/2021) - Champions League Qualifying: Genk V Shaktar Donetsk

It's the first time these teams have met and both will have a big point to prove; Genk because they unexpectedly got beaten 3-4 at home in the league at the weekend and Shakhtar Donetsk because they 'only' got runners up spot in the Ukrainian League last season after finishing top for the 4 consecutive years before that.

Genk have no injury problems, other than bruised ego, and could see the return of Kristian Thorstvedt after a long-term knee injury.

Donetsk have Serhiy Kryvtsov out injured but have a deep enough squad to cope and will be naming their very strongest squad to seal an advance in the competition.

Being honest, Genk are really going to have to step a rung to take anything from this game which is highly likely to have a few goals!
