Juventus faced Tottenham at the Juventus Stadium for the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 match. The game had barely even started when Higuaín scored for Juventus with a volley in just 2 minutes after kick-off. It was Pjanić who fed the ball from a freekick to Higuaín who was unmarked by the Tottenham defense. Just a few moments later at the 9th-minute mark, Juventus got a penalty when Tottenham player Ben Davies fouled Bernardeschi inside the box. It was Higuaín who converted the goal from the penalty spot. After a brilliant pass from Dele Alli, Harry Kane dribbled past Buffon and scored for Tottenham at the 35th minute. Juventus had another chance to score from the penalty spot just before half-time but this time Higuaín failed to score as his shot hit the post. At the 71st minute, Christian Eriksen scored a beautiful freekick past Buffon to equalize the score. The game finally came to an end with a draw with the final score being 2 - 2.
