An ode to my footballing Hero...Lionel M3ssi.. Something i wrote way back in 2012

On june the 24th the world was blessed

With a gem born In Rosario as his nest

Lionel Andres Messi-thats what he was named

Lost the count of how many defenders he has shamed

At the age of five he started playing soccer

who knew back then he would be such a huge goal stalker

At the age of 11, he got growth hormone deficiency

although that didn't effect his footballing efficiency

13 yrs old and off he went to Spain

marking the beginning of the li'l master's European reign

A place where he became the best in a highly talented squad

Soon to be named the brand new footballing God

On april the 18th he displayed his true footballing skills

Going passed 6 different players like running down a hill

Dribbling at a speed which others couldn't match

Defenders till date find him real hard to catch

2009...he was awarded the player of the year

we fans celebrated with glasses of beer

2010... & history repeated itself

what more can a player ask of himself..

2011...and the fans went from sane to insane

as the ballon'd award was again Messi's to gain

just 7 bright years of top flight football

today he is barca's top goal scorer to match it all...

Considered the best today...will he be the best player ever??!!

guess it all depends on the man's footballing endeavour

Learn from him...dreams do come true

All we have got to do...is just follow them through
