Analysis of my first week of predictions

in #football7 years ago

Hello bettors from Steemit,

As said in one of my previous posts, I will, on a weekly basis, perform an analysis of my tips, to see what I (we) can learn from them.

Games that made me lose:

Sporting - Steaua > I still consider this a big surprise considering what was happening before that game. I guess that now after at Steaua's home, Sporting won 5-1, the initial surprise is confirmed. Not sure what to learn from this.

Legia - S. Tiraspol > Another surprise, not as big as the previous one. Perhaps my mistake here was betting just based on the fact that I knew Sheriff Tiraspol will play on the defence and hope to not conceive. It worked for them. I hoped that Legia's fans will push the team to what would have been a few years ago a simple win.

Burnley - WBA > main mistake here is that I thought that if Burnley won with Chelsea they will also get a good result against WBA. Although I still did not expect them to lose, I also checked their previous season's games at home, and they were pretty good. Did not expect them to lose at 0.

Tottenham - Chelsea > a series of mistakes regarding Chelsea. I though that if they lost to Burnley, and Fabregas was missing, Hazard also, Cahill also (Matic and Costa also, but for different reasons), they could not win against Tottenham who is avery solid team. Well... stuff happens. I watched the entire game and Tottenham did not deserve to lose. They didn't deserve to win also, to be fair. Maybe I should have bet on Tottenham scoring, for a lower odd, but safer.

After checking the games that made me lose, looking at the games that made me win, I see a positive trend for the bets from Romania. I watch all of them as this is my home country, and I know the teams pretty well, as well as their couches and what goes on with them. It's always good to have a feeling of what's happening with a team, rather than just betting based on numbers. These all went well for me, with pretty big odds (considering my style of betting).

Please let me know what you would learn from the games that were not won.

Thank you.

Make sure you keep track of your overall ROI (Return on Investment) shaft. It's the only number that really counts in the end.

I personally do not believe in this type of combination bets because of the mathematics behind them. Would be nice to see you prove me wrong on this over time.

Of course, that's what matters. Just out of these 7 tips, whoever bet on them the same amount on each tip, would now have a profit. Not a big one, but a profit.
For the next 7 days (out of which several are already passed because I was late with this analysis), I'm confident more will be successful.
I know this may not seem the best way to bet at first, but I've tried many possibilities. In the end, this is what I like most and I feel comfortable with.

Slow and steady wins the game, and I really do hope to prove it works.

I will be following to see how it works out,
Best of luck !
