Game 5: Liverpool v Manchester United - 3 - 1

A disjointed and lacklustre United limped through this match. Nervy and short on ideas, they were not helped by a manager who sat glued to his seat with a screwed up face that looked like he knew what was coming....

Klopp and his team showed the absolute opposite: their lively play was mirrored by Klopp's animated runs up and down his technical area, shouting words of encouragement. Liverpool had a plan and it worked. Salah was back to his best after Mane took his goal coolly. Lingard's consolation goal was fortunate.

Liverpool deserved the plaudits and carry on the race for the top spot.

Game 4: Southampton 3 - 2 Arsenal

In Hasenhuttl's first home game in charge of Southampton, they came away with all 3 points, thus ending Arsenal's 22 game unbeaten run.

A Danny Ings brace had twice put the Saints in the lead only to be cancelled out on both occasions by Henrik Mkhitarayan. However, Charlie Austin scored the winner with less than 10 minutes to go giving Southampton a much needed boost out of the relegation zone on goal difference.

Arsenal lose ground on the top 4 as all the teams above them win and are now 3 points outside the Champions League spots.

Game 2: Tottenham v Burnley - 1 - 0

Tottenham did just enough to squeeze past Burnley. Throughout the game, Spurs created very little and had no spark. The main man, Harry Kane was invisible throughout the game. However, It's a mark of a great team when they win without playing very well.

The lose was harsh on Burnley though who deserved a draw.

Manchester City v Everton - 3 - 1

Manchester City put on yet again a strong performance for another three points. Gabriel Jesus struck twice, who hadn't scored a league goal since August gave credit to his Mother's visit for his brace. City substitute Sterling scored the deceive third goal with a header.

Everton looked good offensively in the second half after being 2-0 down and got a goal to give them a fighting chance, but Man City held out for the three points.

Don't care about not being in the Top 3 (but congrats to those in it), all that matter was the Liverpool result and keeping the pressure on City and ourselves to perform at the highest level! ⚽
