I would say 1 calendar year. That would include all the holidays and different seasons. You will get to see how your partner reacts in these yearly happenings.
As in a calender year to be engaged, or married on?
Every relationship is different so there are no timelimits except not to get married after couple months. :)
It all depends on so many things.
