Something struck me today as I Ponder the problems associated with the GSM in my experience as a designer I have always preferred mechanical mechanism to machines that depended on electronics & microchips Etc although these devices are much more efficient in an universe
without modern infrastructure it has become too much of a liability. I think everything should have a mechanical back up to its electronic counterpart for this is too much of a cost just go mechanical completely. According to all that were looking at with the grand solar minimum and it's we have no time to harden all electronics not even the most necessary items that are embedded in every facet of our life, the faster process would be to take advantage of the internet and access to the information to retrofit back two more mechanical gear driven technology.
