France Plans to End Oil Output by 2040 With Exploration Ban

It appears France will stop granting new exploration permits starting as early as next year with a target to stop all O&G production by 2040.

The proposed legislation is part of Macron's broad plan to lead against climate change.

France produced 6 million barrels oil in 2015.
