The Reasons Why Ethereum's Market Capitalisation is Surpassing That of Bitcoin

When we think of cryptocurrencies, the first thing that comes to mind is Bitcoin. The world's most popular and valuable cryptocurrency has been making headlines almost daily for the past few months. But there is another cryptocurrency that is making waves in the market and that is Ethereum.

Ethereum was created by Vitalik Buterin, a Russian-Canadian programmer who came up with the idea for Ethereum while studying at the University of Waterloo. Buterin tried to create a blockchain-based platform that could be used as an alternative to Bitcoin, but failed to achieve its goal due to high transaction fees and slow processing times.

After failing with his own project, Buterin decided to embark on something new - Ethereum. The project was launched on July 30, 2015 with the publication of a white paper titled White Paper: Next Generation Smart Contracts and Decentralized Application Platform, which describes many key features of Ethereum such as smart contracts (allowing users to write their own code) on Ethereum tokens, DApps (Decentralized Applications) and ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings).
